LABOR SECRETARY'S LETTER TO FOREIGN EMPLOYERS OF HOUSEHOLD WORKERS



Pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 41, Series of 1994 prescribing the guidelines on the deployment of household workers (HWs), please be informed that effective October 17, 1994, HWs shall be given individually an endorsement letter from the Secretary of Labor and Employment to the foreign employer upon processing of their employment contracts at the POEA. Local deploying agencies are directed to ensure that their workers carry with them the letter for presentation to their employers upon arrival in the foreign household.

The letter of endorsement shall be among the employment documents to be checked by the Labor Assistance Center on every departing HW at the port of exit.
