AN ACT AMENDING SECTION THREE (A) OF REPUBLIC ACT NUMBERED SIX HUNDRED TWO, AS AMENDED BY REPUBLIC ACT NUMBERED FOUR THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED EIGHTY, SO AS TO INCLUDE EMPLOYEES OF MINING ENTERPRISES WITHIN THE PURVIEW OF SAID ACT.



Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

SECTION 1. Section three (a) of Republic Act Numbered Six hundred two, as amended by Republic Act Numbered Four thousand one hundred eighty, is hereby further amended to read as fallows:
"SEC. 3. Minimum Wage.—(a) Every employer shall pay to each of his employees who is employed by an enterprise other than in agriculture minimum wages of not less than six pesos a day: Provided, That this Act shall not apply to any retail or service enterprise that regularly employs not more than five employees;"
SEC. 2. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
