[ Act No. 1945, May 20, 1909 ]

AN ACT PROVIDING THE TIME AT WHICH ALL ACTS OF THE PHILIPPINE LEGISLATURE SHALL TAKE EFFECT.

By authority of the United States, be it enacted by the Philippine Legislature, that:

SECTION 1. No Act passed by the Philippine Legislature shall in effect until fifteen days alter its promulgation unless otherwise expressly provided.

SEC. 2. The promulgation of a law shall be understood to have been made on the day when the publication of same in the Official Gazette of the Philippine Islands shall have been completed.

SEC. 3. All Acts directly or indirectly in conflict with the provisions of this Act are hereby repealed.

SEC. 4. This Act shall lake effect at the opening of the next session of the Legislature.
