AN ACT TO REPEAL ACT NUMBERED SIXTEEN HUNDRED AND NINETY-SIX, ENTITLED "AN ACT TO PROHIBIT THE DISPLAY OF FLAGS, BANNERS, EMBLEMS, OR DEVICES USED IN THE PHILIPPINE ISLANDS FOR THE PURPOSE OF REBELLION OR INSURRECTION AGAINST THE AUTHORITY OF THE UNITED STATES AND THE DISPLAY OF KATIPUNAN FLAGS, BANNERS, EMBLEMS, OR DEVICES, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Legislature assembled and by the authority of the same:

SECTION 1. Act Numbered Sixteen hundred and ninety-six, entitled "An Act to prohibit the display of flags, banners, emblems, or, devices used in the Philippine Islands, for the purpose of rebellion or insurrection against the authority of the United States and the display of Katipunan flags, banners, emblems, or devices, and for other purposes," is hereby repealed.

SEC. 2. The : Governor-General shall, by proclamation, designate once only a day which shall be declared an official holiday, for the purpose of celebrating the restoration of the use of the Filipino flag.

SEC. 3. This Act shall take effect on its approval;
