[ EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 296, December 17, 1949 ]

EXTENDING INDEFINITELY THE PERIOD FOR THE RESTRICTED CARRYING OF FIREARMS



In the interest of peace and order, I, Elpidio Quirino, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby extend indefinitely or until further orders the period during which private persons heretofore duly granted special permits or licenses to possess firearms are prohibited to carry said firearms outside their respective residence.

Executive Order No. 290, dated October 31, 1949, as amended by Executive Order No. 294, dated November 19, 1949, is hereby further amended accordingly.

Done in the City of Manila, this 17th day of December, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and forty-nine, and of the Independence of the Philippines, the fourth.
