“A person who has served six months or less in the Philippine civil service may be reinstated as a probationer within a period of one year following his separation from the service under the former appointment; a person who has served more than six months but less than two years, and who has received absolute appointment, may be reinstated within two years; a person who has served two years, but less than three years, may be reinstated within four years; a person who has served three years, but less than four years, may be reinstated within six years; a person who has served four years, but less than five years, may be reinstated within eight years; and a person who has served five years or more may be reinstated within ten years from the date of his separation from the service.”Done at the City of Manila, this twenty-fifth day of September, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and thirty-nine, and of the Commonwealth of the Philippines, the fourth.
