DECLARING SATURDAY, 8 NOVEMBER 2014, AS A SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN THE PROVINCE OF LEYTE



WHEREAS, on 8 November 2013, the Province of Leyte was struck by super typhoon Yolanda, causing loss of lives, destruction of properties, infrastructure, agriculture and industries of the province;

WHEREAS, Saturday, 8 November 2014 marks the first year anniversary of the Yolanda tragedy which the entire Province of Leyte wishes to commemorate as a day of prayer and thanksgiving.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, PAQUITO N. OCHOA JR., Executive Secretary, by authority of his Excellency BENIGNO S. AQUINO III, do hereby declare Saturday, 8 November 2014, as a special (non-working) day in the Province of Leyte.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
