DECLARING FRIDAY, 2 SEPTEMBER 2016, AS A SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN THE PROVINCE OF ALBAY



WHEREAS, Friday, 2 September 2016, marks the 151st birth anniversary of the late General Simeon A. Ola, the last revolutionary general to surrender at the end of the Philippine-American War;

WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that the people of the Province of Albay be given full opportunity to participate and celebrate the occasion with appropriate ceremonies.

NOW, THEREFORE, I SALVADOR C. MEDIALDEA, Executive Secretary, by authority of the President, RODRIGO R. DUTERTE, do hereby declare Friday, 2 September 2016, as a special (non-working) day in the Province of Albay.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
