DECLARING THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 24, 2005, AS SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN THE PROVINCE OF ZAMBOANGA SIBUGAY



WHEREAS, Republic Act No. 8973 dated November 7, 2000, which provides for the creation of the Province of Zamboanga Sibugay from the Province of Zamboanga del Sur was ratified on February 24, 2001;

WHEREAS, Thursday, February 24, 2005, marks the 4th Charter Day anniversary of the Province of Zamboanga Sibugay;

WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that the people of the Province of Zamboanga Sibugay be given full opportunity to celebrate this milestone in their province’s history with appropriate ceremonies.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, EDUARDO R. ERMITA, Executive Secretary, by authority of Her Excellency, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, do hereby declare Thursday, February 24, 2005, as special (non-working) day in the Province of Zamboanga Sibugay.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
