[ PROCLAMATION NO. 31, December 12, 1945 ]

CALLING THE CONGRESS OF THE PHILIPPINES IN SPECIAL SESSION



By virtue of the powers vested in me by the Constitution, I, SERGIO OSMEÑA, President of the Philippines, do hereby call the Congress of the Philippines in special session for a period of seven working days, beginning from the 13th day of December, 1945, at 4 o’clock in the afternoon, for the purpose of considering legislation on the rehabilitation of the Philippine banks and the adjustment of creditor and debtor relationships during the period of the occupation of the Philippines by the Japanese forces.

All persons entitled to sit as members of the Congress of the Philippines are requested to take notice of this proclamation.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Commonwealth of the Philippines to be affixed.

Done at the City of Manila, this 12th day of December, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and forty-five, and of the Commonwealth of the Philippines, the eleventh.
