DECLARING WEDNESDAY, MARCH 7, 1962 AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE PROVINCES OF AGUSAN, BUKIDNON, COTABATO, DAVAO, LANAO DEL NORTE, LANAO DEL SUR, MISAMIS OCCIDENTAL; SULU, PALAWAN, ZAMBOANGA DEL NORTE, ZAMBOANGA DEL SUR, AND IN THE CITIES OF BASILAN, BUTUAN, CAGAYAN DE ORO, COTABATO, DAVAO, ILIGAN, MARAWI, OZAMIS, AND ZAMBOANGA



In connection with the Muslim National Feast of Eid-Ul-Fitr, I, Diosdado Macapagal, President of the Philippines, pursuant to the authority vested in me by section 30 of the Revised Administrative Code, do hereby declare Wednesday, March 7, 1962, as a special public holiday in the provinces of Agusan, Bukidnon, Cotabato, Davao, Lanao del Norte, Lanao del Sur, Misamiis Occidental, Sulu, Palawan, Zamboanga del Norte, Zamboanga del Sur, and in the cities of Basilan, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Cotabato, Davao, Iligan, Marawi, Ozamis, and Zamboanga.

Muslim officials and employees of the government, both national and local, performing their duties and functions outside of the provinces and cities above stated, shall be exempted from duty during this feast day which, for purposes of this proclamation, stall be considered as a special holiday for said officials and employees in their respective stations.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused—the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.

Done in the City of Manila, this 26th day of February, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and sixty-two, and of the Independence of the Philippines, the sixteenth.
