[ PROCLAMATION NO. 120, March 15, 1949 ]

EXTENDING UP TO AND INCLUDING APRIL 15, 1949, THE PERIOD FIXED IN PROCLAMATION NO. 116, DATED JANUARY 21, 1949, FOR THE SECOND ANNUAL FUND CAMPAIGN OF THE PHILIPPINE NATIONAL RED CROSS.



WHEREAS, under Proclamation No. 116, dated January 21, 1949, the period from February 15 to March 15, 1949, has been declared as the time for the Second Annual Fund Campaign of the Philippine National Red Cross, during which said organization is authorized to obtain voluntary contributions through its Chapters, as prescribed by its Congressional Charter;

WHEREAS, other miscellaneous Fund Campaigns of civic organizations and public projects during the months of February and March have adversely affected the Fund Campaign activities of the Philippine National Red Cross; and

WHEREAS, the attainment of the minimum of ?1,500,000 in this Second Annual Fund Campaign of the Philippine National Red Cross is imperative to enable this organization to carry on its lofty humanitarian mission;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Elpidio Quirino, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the authority vested in me by law, do hereby extend the Second Annual Fund Campaign of the Philippine National Red Cross up to and including April 15, 1949.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.

Done in the City of Manila, this 15th day of March, in the year of our Lord, nineteen hundred and forty-nine, and of the Independence of the Philippines, the third.
