WHEREAS, the progress of the world greatly depends upon the achievements in science;

WHEREAS, education in the Philippines could be enhanced by the development of satisfactory media for the exchange of ideas concerning new methods and techniques; and

WHEREAS, it is necessary to give impetus to scientific endeavors;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Elpidio Quirino, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare the period from November 29 to December 5, 1953, as Philippine National Science

A parcel of land (lot No. 192-A of the subdivision plan Bsd-10472, being a portion of lot No. 192 of the cadastral survey of Davao, G.L.R.O. Record No. ————), situated in the City of Davao, Island of Mindanao. Bounded on the NE., SE., SW., and NW., by lot No. 192-B of the subdivision plan. Beginning at a point marked 1 on plan, being N. J° 55′ W., 682.07 meters from B.L.B.M. No. 2, Davao cadastre No. 102, thence N. 34° 20′ W., 10.00 meters to point 2; thence N. 55° 36′ E., 2.00 meters to point 3; thence N. 34° 21′ W., 12.81 meters to point 4; thence N. 55° 36′ E., 6.00 meters to point 5; thence S. 34° 21′ E., 12.81 meters to point 6; thence N. 55° 36′ E., 2.00 meters to point 7; thence S. 34° 20′ E., 10.00 meters to point 8; thence S. 55° 36′ W., 10.00 meters to the point of beginning; containing an area of 177 square meters, more or less. All points referred to are indicated on the plan and are marked on the ground by B.P.W./D.C.S.M. concrete monuments; bearings true; declination 2° 05′ E., date of the original survey, February, 1916-May, 1920 and that of the subdivision survey, August 14 and September 27, 1950.
