By virtue of the powers vested in me by section 3 of Republic Act No. 509, entitled “An Act declaring National Policy, authorizing the President of the Philippines for a limited period to fix ceiling prices of commodities and to promulgate rules and regulations regarding prices of commodities to effectuate such policy, and authorizing the appropriation of a certain sum for the purpose,” and upon the recommendation of the Price Administration Board, I, Elpidio Quirino, President of the Philippines do hereby order:

SECTION 1. Section one of Executive Order Numbered Three hundred and thirty-one, dated July 7, 1950, is hereby amended by setting up new ceiling prices for “MEAT, FRESH” as follows:

Cow’s meat (in bulk)		P2.60
Cow’s meat:
Solomillo (tenderloin)	kilo		P4.00
Lomo (sirloin)	kilo		3.50
Cadera	kilo		3.50
Pierna corta	kilo		3.50
Pierna larga	kilo		3.00
Punta y pecho	kilo		3.00
Camto	kilo		2.50
Costillas (riba)	kilo		2.00
Kenchi	kilo		1.50
Carabao meat (in bulk)	kilo	1.25
Carabao meat:
Solomillo (tenderloin)	kilo		2.80
Cadera, pierna corta y “round”	kilo		2.30
Lomo (sirloin)	kilo		2.00
Bones with meat	kilo		1.00

Said section is further amended by eliminating therefrom the locally manufactured “VEGETABLE FATS (not in bulk) and (bulk),” “MARGARINE (not in bulk) and (bulk)” and “EDIBLE OIL (retail) and (bulk).”

SEC. 2. Section four of Executive Order Numbered Three hundred and forty-three, dated August 14, 1950 is hereby repealed.

SEC. 3. This Order shall take effect upon its promulgation.

Done in the City of Manila, this 2nd day of October, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and fifty, and of the Independence of the Philippines, the fifth.
